Cooking with Tony
Take one retired chef, some Chapman Valley food lovers, add a beautiful outdoor setting and a beverage (or two) and we have created for ourselves a great night out in the Valley. This is cooking lessons for those who can cook, honestly! And for those who are still wanting to learn. Its all about sharing at Tony's cooking lessons; Tony shares his master tips, we share our own, and at the end of each lesson everyone shares in tasting delicious food, cooked to perfection!
"This is what being part of a community is all about," says Tony. "Sharing, learning and enjoying each others company. I'm not here to tell people how to cook, I'm here to share some tips of the trade [master skills] that I have learnt through my working life as a chef."
Tony also shares stories of his travels as a chef and his effervesant nature is a little catching.
Cooking with Tony is currently held every second Wednesday at Nukara Farm commencing at 5.30 pm. At the end of each lesson participants are invited to select the dishes for the following lesson. BYO [The Shire, Nukara Farm and Tony promote sensible drinking]
At the request of participants lessons cost $10 per person to help cover the cost of food. Tony kindly donates his time (and passion) and Nukara continue to support this community activity. These lessons have been initated, driven and supported by members of our community.
To find out when the next lesson is and to register your interest (this helps Tony decide how much he needs) please contact the Shire on 9920 5011 or e-mail us at valleyc@chapmanvalley.wa.gov.au.
