Works to upgrade fencing at the Nabawa Tennis Courts have now been completed.

Shire of Chapman Valley CEO, Maurice Battilana said the replacement of the 30-year-old fence is a significant upgrade to the tennis facility.

“Across WA, sport remains a pillar of regional communities and the Shire of Chapman Valley maintains a strong sporting culture,” Mr Battilana said.

“Community facilities, such as the Nabawa Tennis Courts, enhance our townsites and encourage participation in various activities.

“These tennis courts are utilised by the Chapman Valley Tennis Club for club matches, social matches, open days and extensively by the Chapman Valley Primary School.”

The upgrade was made possible by the Royalties for Regions Community Chest Fund and the Mid West Development Commission.

“With the fencing project completed, the look and feel of the club has immediately been enhanced and we welcome the community to come down with their racquets and see the improvements.”

The Chapman Valley Tennis Club is a long-standing sporting club which actively encourages all members of the community to have a hit and is open to other community members and groups using their facilities.
