The picturesque Shire of Chapman Valley, just north of Geraldton, extends from the coast of Coronation Beach, eastward to the Greenough River, north to the Vermin Proof Fence and south to the East Chapman River.
Chapman Valley, a predominately broad-acre agricultural area, is renowned for its magnificent flat-topped Moresby Ranges, its pristine coastline and beautiful array of wildflowers from July through to October. Rich in cultural history, the valley offers a delightful range of tourist accommodation, activities and points of interest.

Wildflowers
As the Chapman Valley Shire covers a vast area there is a huge diversity in wildflower species. The following list is some of the many places to stop and view our magnificent wildflowers during the season.
- Opposite Bella Vista turn off on Nanson Howatharra Road.
- Half way between Nanson and Nabawa is Nabawa Yetna Road. Wander along this road where some fascinating flowers can be seen.
- The Naraling Hall is a pleasant place to stop and discover flowers.
- Nolba Road and the Old Nolba Stock Route are also worth a look.
- The Wandana Reserve has a large variety of wildflowers. One access point is Wandana Road, slightly east of Yuna.
Birdwatching
With over 200 species of birds within the Shire, there are many places to catch a glimpse or photograph the huge variety of species from Ospreys at Coronation Beach, to Black Swans and Mountain Ducks at Noondanurra pool. The rare Mallee Fowl can also be found in the Wandana Reserve east of Yuna.
Fishing
If fishing excites you, Coronation Beach is a popular spot for amateur fishermen and crayfishermen. Fish from the beach or by boat.
Surfing & Windsurfing
Coronation Beach is internationally renowned for windsurfing all year round, especially summer. With cross onshore winds, Coronation Beach is one of the world's best locations for wave jumping and well worth a look.
Moresby Ranges
The Moresby Ranges are an ancient landscape feature, formed some 175 - 200 million years ago and their unique shape makes for interesting viewing.
Wine-tasting Trail
Head out along the Chapman Valley Road to taste the Valley's until now, best kept secret, wine. Quality drops of both white and reds can be sampled at Ego Creek and Chapman Valley Wines.
