Options for Payment
There are a number of ways by which you may pay money owing to Council.
- Credit Card (charges may apply in some cases) Click here to make payment using your credit card
- BPAY – Through telephone or Internet banking. You will need to quote Council’s Biller Code number 94292 and your reference number (supplied on your rate notice or invoice)
- EFTPOS – In person.
More and more people are realising the benefit of spreading their rates payments over a much longer period. You do not need to wait until you receive your rates notice to make payments against your rates for the year ahead. Please contact the Shire's Rates Officer to make an arrangement to pay off your rates if varying from the instalment options.

Have you considered Internet banking?
It is a great time saver, especially for people in rural areas, and usually attracts lower fees than regular person-to-person transactions. All the major banks offer Internet Banking services.

Credit Card Payment - Westpac PayWay Net
PayWay net allows you to make credit card payments for all Shire accounts via a Westpac hosted website.

Please enter your payment details carefully. Where an overpayment has been made, we will endeavour to refund you the difference at our earliest convenience.
When paying your rates to Shire of Chapman Valley, card details are transmitted through a secure server using PayWay. Card data is not hosted by Shire of Chapman Valley after processing.

- we are required or authorised by law or where we have a public duty to do so;
