COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
The Shire of Chapman Valley is seeking a full time Community Development Officer based at Nabawa yet may be required to work at various locations across the whole of the Shire.
A salary package of up to $95,295 per annum is offered under the Local Government Industry Award 2010 dependent on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.

The ideal candidate (whilst not essential), will have demonstrated experience in a Community Development role or similar with complimentary qualifications and local government background. However, training and support may be provided where transferable skills and showing initiative in a new role can be demonstrated.

- Communication skills.
- Excellent report and grant writing skills.
- Computer literacy including social media and web posting skills.
What will the day-to-day responsibilities look like?
- Provide expertise and assistance to community organisations on development of projects, submission of grant applications and facilitate their social media presence.
- Maintain web-based Community Events calendar, internal and external communication (Social Media, Website, Media Statements etc.)
- Co-ordinate and plan community based projects, events and services.
Who will I report to?
Day to day reporting to Chief Executive Officer.
Probation review will be completed with Chief Executive Officer.
