The Shire of Chapman Valley advises it has received an application for temporary workforce accommodation from Warrego Energy in association with their Exploration Drilling Program within Petroleum Licence EP512 that is managed separately under the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Resources Act 1967 by the State Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety.

Notice was given to all landowners in areas requiring compulsory firebreaks that these must be installed by 15 October 2024 and maintained free of flammable material as required under the Bush Fire Act 1954.
